Muddy River Atlantic JAMboree

  • The weekend will consist of 8 teams guaranteed to play 4x20 min bouts.
  • All players must show proof of insurance before participating in any of the weekend activities. 
  • As we are trying to adhere to WFTDA guidelines, all players must possess the WFTDA minimum skills requirements.

training sessions

There will be training for skaters as well as for referees. Referees are encouraged to participate in a minimum of 4 bouts if participating in the training. 

Training sessions will be open for JAMboree non-participants at a fee of $30/day ($60 for both days). Spaces are limited to a maximum of 30 per day as the JAMboree participants have first priority.

Bonnie D. Stroir – North California, USA

Since 2003 D. Stroir has been affiliated with LA Derby Dolls and San Diego Derby Dolls in roles as a skater, League Founder, International Traveling Coach, Ref and Announcer! You can also see her on YouTube on her many instructional derby videos. Most recently, she coached Team USA at the Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto!

In addition to being a guest Coach for leagues world-wide, she also hosts a series of sit-down seminars for Coaches in roller derby! 

This is D. Stroir's first time coaching at the Muddy River Atlantic JAMboree, and hopefully there are more to come!

Lime – BC

Cutting his teeth with the Oil City Derby Girls back in early 2007, Coach Lime has run the bench for OCDG and E-Ville in Edmonton, Saskatoon's SRDL and the Red Deer Belladonnas. 

Lime spends his time in BC working with the OSRDA, TCDD, the Redneck Daisies, SCRG and the men of the Vancouver Murder. He travelled with Hoochie, 8-Mean Wheeler, Sour Cherry and Hissett Fit over to the UK in 2008, coaching Team Canada in Glasgow, Birmingham and London, and he co-founded Team Canada Mens Roller Derby!

Lime works with newer leagues and skaters, and enjoys teaching game strategy during practices, clinics and bootcamps! 

Lime's parents were both Cape Bretoners and he lived in New Brunswick until the age of seven... this is his second homecoming for the Muddy River Atlantic JAMboree!

Dr Johnny Capote – Montreal, QC

Longtime Visionary of La Racaille and presently, sought after advisor and "rough diamond polisher" to several derby leagues.

Johnny has played men's Derby wearing the #10 for Team Canada and is the creator of CanuckDerbyTV.com, bringing Canadian Roller Derby live to the world!

An eternal student of the game, Johnny is never satisfied with yesterday, he thrives on developing long term goals and gets giddy talking about counter strategies!

This is Johnny's second time coaching for the Muddy River Atlantic JAMboree!!!

Viv The Shiv – Edmonton, AB

Veteran referee Viv the Shiv got her name back when she was a skater with Oil City.... she used to slice through the pack like a shiv through a jailhouse screw. Viv retired as a player and has been reffing with OCDG since 2009, officiating in several tournaments including Montreal's Beast of the East and Spudtown Knock Down in Idaho. 

Viv worked a number of games at Roller Con and in bouts during CWRDA boot camps since 2009 and she continues to travel all over Western Canada whenever and wherever her whistle is needed.

This is Viv's second time coaching for the Muddy River Atlantic JAMboree!!!
