league objectives


The objectives and powers of the Muddy River Rollers are as follows:

  • Provide the Metro Moncton area with a safety conscious, close knit and skilled Roller Derby League
  • Operate as a not-for-profit organization
  • Create a league that is safe for members; promote good will, camaraderie and teamwork
  • Encourage members to pursue their full athletic potential as possible within Roller Derby
  • Nurture leadership potential as possible within Roller Derby
  • Have an open door policy when it comes to Committee Meetings
  • Encourage its members to have a say, offer help and suggestions that potentially strengthen the Muddy River Rollers.
  • Organize and manage family friendly bouts for its own teams
  • Organize and manage family friendly bouts for/with other Leagues or teams
  • Provide a travel team to play bouts of Roller Derby against other Leagues or teams
  • Promote the importance of Roller Derby safety, standards and athleticism
  • Promote the sport of Roller Derby in general
  • Promote the League to the public and existing and potential sponsors
  • Affiliate and liaise with such organizations and/or partners that will promote growth towards the association’s objectives
  • Agree to appearances & promotional events as deemed appropriate and agreed upon by the management committee
  • Make charitable contributions, either in-kind or financial, to other nonprofit organizations as deemed appropriate by the management committee
